7pm at Montlake Playfield for now, Tuesday and Thursday, 12pm Saturday. We will also be playing touch at Cal Anderson park on Mondays at about 6:30.
Our first match is September 13th, so we have a month to shake out the cobwebs and get into rugby shape!

Some of us are headed to the annual Tacoma Aroma Sevens Tourney. Looks like we will be trying to make a team with a few of the Beach guys. We’ll try to put an update tomorrow.
OK, back! That was quick, eh? First off here are some photos of our 2nd match against Portland Pigs. With that name we were half expecting to see some Huna Hog-types. Nope. We did what we could, but the final was 34 -14 I believe.

We are updating the site, so things you are used to may be missing. Most of the info is still here, and the rest is on its way. Over the next few days we will be tweeking the colors and content. If you have any comments or suggestions email me at info@quakerugby.org.

Saturday, July 12th, 11:30am - 2pm! Interested in learning about rugby? We are starting early this year and need new recruits! There is no experience needed. Almost all of us started with the Quake without having played rugby before. We are Americans, of course we wouldn’t have known! Become a part of Seattle’s well known (and loved) inclusive rugby team. We are leaders in exposing people to rugby who may have never considered it a possibility.
The Quake is also well know for bridging the gap between lifestyles. As a predominantly gay team playing in a standard league against traditional teams and being competitive, we strive to actually make lifestyle a non-issue. We have several straight players and welcome ALL in a non-judgmental setting.
Be at the Miller playfield at 11:30 to meet the coaches and fill out paperwork, and then we will start drills with some of the team at noon.
There will be a BBQ and Kegger at the Cuff afterwards where you can meet the rest of the team. There, you will find out what rugby is about: the fellowship, support and your teammates.

The day started out great. We had our match against the Chicago Dragons and won 36-0 with some awesome tries by Brodie (3), Kirk and Jeremy with assists from Sean and Fabrice. Brodie converted all 5.

The seeding for the finals was announced at 1:30 and due to our draw and tournament scores we had to play Sydney again.
We weren’t too terribly happy, but were determined to win. The match started and it was clear that Sydney was taking us seriously. It was a hard fought match and we came out with a 3 point penalty kick, but they put 39 points on the board.

We were knocked out of the tournament with that match. 4 other teams were out as well. It was pretty lame because the lower tiers got to play 2 more matches a piece, but we basically got nothing for Sunday. A few guys found a friendly to play in. It was Minnesota, Chcago, Amsterdam some of us, a few from the Fog and I am sure a smattering of others. It was a fun match to watch and everyone had fun.
The final matches were well played, and the peanut gallery was in full effect for the Final of Sydney vs London. We cheered for London, but Sydney still took the cup this year.
Bingham was great fun this year and everyone had a blast. We look forward to Magnitude next year and Bingham in 2010!
