Quake Branding 2024
Current Branding

Our current club insignia, designed by Jeremy Linden has served the team well for over a decade. It captures the team colors (green and gold), the team motto ("rumble" represented as a Richter Scale reading), presented on a shield (a common element in rugby clubs).
Proposed Branding

The proposed refresh of the logo retains all the beloved elements of the logo from Jeremy: the shield, the Richter, and the team colors, but incorporates the name of the club into the shield. Optionally, the shield includes our unions: Pacific Northwest Rugby (PNWR, formerly PNRFU) and International Gay Rugby (IGR), along with our location and founding year. The Richter reading subtly hints at a "W."

The logo can be adapted to work in gold and black versions, a popular variant of our team colors. Quake's first two sets of jerseys were green / black, and gold / black. In subsequent years jerseys have been variations of green, gold, black, white, and rainbow. See above for variations of the logo in these color schemes.

The logo can used without a shield and can be adapted for light backgrounds, or it can be used with other illustrations -- pictured here with Mt Rainier as an example background.

Our logo with Colossalis Bold can be used in contexts when it's important to highlight Quake is a rugby team. This is important with hats and shirts used outside of rugby matches.
